The Health and Construction Think Tank began its informal activities in 2017 (1396) and started operating officially in 2023 (1402). It works in consultative and promotional areas related to health and the functionality of buildings, improving the quality of life of citizens and occupants of residential, commercial, and office buildings, and related fields such as sports, health, nutrition and hygiene, water and wastewater, green spaces, building safety, HVAC, smart buildings, environmentally friendly buildings, and accessibility for all disabled groups. It also addresses crisis management in buildings during natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, waste management in buildings, and the use of renewable energies (wind, solar) in buildings. At the outset, The Health and Construction Think Tank focused on local approaches and is planning and reviewing national and global approaches. The think tank primarily aims to assist policymakers, governments, organizations, and the general public in making informed decisions through analysis, research, and knowledge production. Think tanks typically operate independently of governments and political parties, which allows their analyses and recommendations to be scientific and impartial. With its particular characteristics, the Health and Construction Think Tank can be recognized as an influential institution in the realm of policymaking and governance. It not only engages in research but also seeks to influence executive decisions and address social and economic problems.
